The Imperial Council of State is the Executive Branch of the Imperial Government. It exercises the day-to-day Executive Authority of the Sovereign and is often referred as the "Imperial Executive," or "the Government." The Council of State consists of Grand Officers and Chancellors of the Imperial Government. Although the Sovereign is the actual chair, this Council is led by the Grand Chancellor, or his designated the Head of Government.
Current Membership
Membership of the Council of State is classified as Senior, Regular, Temporary, and Guests.
Senior Members
Senior Members of the Council of State (besides the Sovereign, Grand Chancellor, or Vice Grand Chancellor), are those Grand Officers of State that lead a key area of the Imperial Government, they intern oversee the Chancellors that are classed as Regular Members. The Senior Membership is as follows:
Grand Keeper of Seals and Archives
Regular Members
Regular Members of the Council of State are the Chancellors of Government. They oversee specific functions. These individuals make up the bulk of the Council of State and though have a seat at the table that fall within the offices of one of the Grand Officers of State.
Under the Grand Steward
Chancellor of Internal Affairs. Matters of local government, census, and organizations
Chancellor of External/Foreign Affairs. Foreign policy and foreign affairs
Chancellor of Social Services. Recreation, culture, entertainment, sports, etc.
Chancellor of the Education. Oversees the university and all related bodies
Under the Grand Inquisitor
Chancellor of Justice. Overseeing prosecutors, solicitors, and advocates
Chancellor of Compliance and Accountability. Investigates ethics and accountability
Chancellor of the Inquisition. Management and Training of Inquisitors
Under the Grand Architect
Chancellor of Public Works. Handles construction, engineering, and transportation
Chancellor of Exploration and Colonization. Oversees exploration and colonization
Chancellor of Planning and Development. Reviews and develops non-IS plans
Under the Grand Treasurer
Chancellor of Finance and Banking. Oversees the comptroller, the imperial bank, taxes
