Students distinguish authenticated controlling instruments from Great Library reference and instructional material. Reference publication assists discovery and education but does not enact, authenticate, register, seal, or codify law.

Status and provenance must be read before relying upon a source. Historical or reconstructed records can remain important evidence without silently becoming current law.

A sound constitutional analysis identifies the controlling provision, describes the relevant facts, applies the provision without inventing authority, and records uncertainty where the source does not resolve the issue.

== Final examination ==
The examination contains:

* 2 constitutional application essays.

The Fracture interrupted effective administration but did not itself dissolve the Imperium or extinguish the Crown's inherited authority. Earlier constitutional eras remain part of official history and are preserved and classified rather than erased.

Study the distinction between loss or contraction of effective administration and lawful extinction of authority. Particular attention is given to interrupted offices, institutions, territories, and records.
