Archivists are trusted operational editors responsible for maintaining the organization, integrity, and usability of the Imperial Archives.

== Permissions ==

Archivists may:

* Edit and create pages
* Create and participate in talk pages
* Move pages and files
* Upload and replace files
* Roll back edits
* Patrol edits
* Mark their own edits as automatically patrolled

== Limitations ==

Archivist status does not by itself grant page deletion, page protection, user-rights management, or full system-administrator authority.

Archivists must preserve source distinctions and apply the appropriate status to reconstructed material: Current, Amended, Historical, Draft, Approved source, or Reconstruction pending.
