Organization

The Imperial Navy consists of a Headquarters and Naval Support Command, the Imperial Star Force (ISF), the Star Fighter Corps (ISFC), and the Imperial Marine Corps (IMC), and the Imperial Star Navigation Authority. The Imperial Navy primarily conducts space operations and on order (O/O) provides support to the Army in planetary operations.

The Imperial Navy conducts operations through number navies that are permanently assigned to a Quadrant. There are four operational navies, one each, located in each quadrant. Each Navy is the senior naval command in that quadrant and oversees attached naval assets in support of the Quadrant Command. The 1st Navy is located in the Alpha Quadrant, the 2nd Navy in the Beta Quadrant; the 3rd Navy in the Gamma Quadrant; and the 4th Navy in the Delta Quadrant.
