Imperial Code

From The Great Library of the Aksum Imperium
Imperial Code of the Aksum Imperium
Authenticated law • ordered titles • source-controlled codification

The Imperial Code of the Aksum Imperium (AIC) is the organized legal repository of the Aksum Imperium. It arranges current constitutional, legislative, executive, administrative, judicial, and interpretive authorities by subject while preserving the identity, wording, source, status, and history of each controlling instrument.

Controlling Principle
Codification does not create legal authority by itself. The legal force of a provision arises from the Imperial Constitution and Covenant, an authenticated Imperial Decree, a duly enacted law, or another lawfully issued instrument. Where a codified entry and its authenticated source conflict, the authenticated source controls until an authorized correction is published.
Foundational Law of the Tenth Imperium
Code placement Controlling authority Status Subject
Title 1, Chapter 101 Imperial Decree 26-001 Current foundational decree Declaration of the Tenth Imperium; Imperial continuity and inheritance; promulgation of the Constitution; restoration authority; regencies; Great Houses; Great Game; Imperial calendar; transitional direction
Title 1, Chapter 102 Imperial Constitution and Covenant of the Aksum Imperium Promulgated by Decree 26-001; current constitutional text published Supreme constitutional law maintained as a separate but legally connected instrument
Structure of the Code

Titles are permanent subject divisions. Chapters organize related enactments within a title. Parts and subchapters may be used for large bodies of law. Sections contain the codified provisions. Articles within an authenticated source retain their original numbering and remain linked to that source.
